I recently added a job search portal to Goldivas.com. It’s powered by Careerbuilder, and is called PrimeCB, presumably has jobs from employers who are interested in hiring experienced people. However, I’m not sure how effective it is, I think us Boomers encounter a lot of age discrimination, regardless of what they say.

I do agree that the “old way” of sending resumes may be over, however, I do believe qualifications speak for themselves and if you’re qualified, you’ll at least get a call. The sad part is many baby boomers may be forced to take a serious pay cut in order to stay in the job market. Boomer Diva Nation also has a job search portal which we hope is of benefit to others: http://www.boomerdivanation.org/help-wanted/

“If you’re qualified, you’ll at least get a call”? Not necessarily, one HR person I spoke to told me that if she received 200 resumes, and found some good candidates in the first 10 or 20, she would not bother going through the rest. So, don’t take it personally if you don’t get a call. Submit your resume as soon as possible after a job hits the job boards, and do submit multiple times!
